Celebration of Vision & Community Impact

Eye Care for Detroit is launching two groundbreaking initiatives to provide eye care and sight to approximately 40,000 homebound Detroit residents. “Detroit’s population is at greater risk of avoidable and treatable eye disease and blindness due to lack of access to affordable and accessible eye care,” says Dr. Moorer. “We are going to change that.” To support this extraordinary effort, we invite you to our Visionary Leadership Dinner at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.
This special evening will honor the lifetime contributions of Otis B. Ferguson, III MD, a distinguished Detroit-based ophthalmologist with over three decades of experience. Our honored guests will include keynote speaker M. Roy Wilson, MD, President Emeritus and distinguished professor of ophthalmology at Wayne State University, along with Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist, U.S. Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, Denise Fair Razo, Chief Public Health Officer of the Detroit Health Department, Detroit City Council President Mary Sheffield, and other esteemed leaders.
Join us in making a lasting impact on the vision health of our community!
